Train trip from Glen Eden to Swanson - April 2026

In conjunction with our Train topic we organised to go for a ride on a train to Swanson and back. 8 children, 8 parents and 4 teachers met at the Glen Eden station at 9.10 and boarded the train. We had morning tea once we got to Swanson station and then a quick walk to the playground. There was some time to wait for the next train to leave so we asked the train driver if we could see inside the engine cab and we all got to see the levers and buttons that the driver uses to drive the train.
